I was interested in watching this movie after reading one of my MP contact’s good review few days ago. Usually I am not into this Fantasy genre film but Stardust turned out to be so good, beyond my expectation.
It is based on a novel written by Neil Gaiman. The complicated yet inspiring Fairy Tale was described beautifully and perfectly, supported by good scenario and the talented actors/actresses. The two-hour long movie flew by right in front of my eyes.
Tristan (Charlie Cox) and Victoria (Sienna Miller) both looked so gorgeous. Claire Danes (Yvaine) tried her best to highlight her ‘British’ accent. Michelle Pfeiffer has showed us her good act as usual. The funny part was Robert De Niro’s comical character as Captain Shakespeare.
I tried to remember few of its lovely quotes, such as:
- A philosopher once asked, "Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or we do gaze at them because we are humans? Pointless really - do the stars gaze back? Now that's the question."
- Tristan: “Victoria, for your hand in marriage, I would cross the oceans and all the continents.”
- Yvaine: "What's the point of being immortal if you are not with someone you love?"
- Yvaine: “You know when I said I knew little about love? That wasn’t true. I know a lot about love. I’ve seen it, centuries and centuries of it, and it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars, pain, lies, hate. It made me wants to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way that mankind loves… You could search to the furthest reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautiful. So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and… What I’m trying to say, Tristan is… I think I love you.”
- Captain Shakespeare: “Your true love may be the one who is right in front of you at this moment”.
Those lines are really memorable for me partly because of my personal reasons.

gw sih gak suka yah macem Trilogy Lord of The Rings etc yg Fantasy gitu, tapi yang ini, keren abis..mungkin karena tergolong romantic fairy tale juga gitu..jadi gw suka banget.. ^_^ |

Moment buat gw adalah waktu ngumpet di semak si tristan sama Yvaine tentang what is the point being immortal if you r not with someone you love... :-? anjrit itu momen banget buat gw... bini gw ampe nangis :| and i say i love her eternally :">
